ASIA — Charles Sampson, CEO Y&R China has announced a number of new business wins for the network including Guiyang IFC, Goldlion and Huawei Mobile.

Y&R Guangzhou is now handling the brand-building and communications for Guiyang IFC (International Finance Center), including planning, creative advertising, public relations, events and campaigns.

Y&R Guangzhou has also won the strategic and creative business for Goldlion Group, following a three-way pitch. Y&R will work closely with Goldlion for its brand revamp, strategic planning, public relations activities and creative work over the coming year.

And Y&R Beijing has been awarded the business for four new Huawei mobile phone launches in 2013.

Guiyang IFC is a thriving international building complex which plans to attract headquarters of banks, insurances, funds and securities, simultaneously providing professional service, business training and advanced financial back-office. It also includes apartments, hotels, commercial retailing, recreational businesses and restaurants.

Upon completion, Guiyang IFC will become the largest financial centre in the South-West region, occupying a floor area of around 4.5 million square meters for both commercial and residential buildings.

Established in 1990, and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Goldlion Group Co. Ltd.’s business includes clothing apparel sales and property investment and development. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Goldlion has established affiliated companies in China, Singapore and Malaysia in a wide range of business across the region.

Commenting on the wins, Charles Sampson said, “Any new business win is testament to the hard work and team work of our people, and these wins are no exception. Y&R continues to grow in China, and our offices continue to flourish. Guiyang IFC, Huawei Mobile and Goldlion join our roster of prestigious clients alongside Gap and Danone’s Mizone.”

Added Michael Xia, CEO of Y&R Guanzhou, “The co-operation between Y&R Guangzhou and Goldlion is significant as we helm the Group’s rebrand in 2013. Not only will this help Goldlion toward a leap forward in its business, this campaign lays the foundation for Y&R Guangzhou to serve fashion brands in the future.”
